To give it its full name the Sheraton Pine Cliffs is recogniseably associated to the adjoining hotel. The course is built on the cliff top among stands of mature umbrella pines. The views and reputedly the game are spectacular although the potential for unrecoverable balls is high.
Access is from Olhos da Agua at the east end of Albufeira. Although close to Vilamoura there is no direct route along the coast.
Set on the cliff tops close to Albufeiras Falesia beach this is perhaps the most photographed course in the Algarve. The rich green grass against the blue ocean and sky says it all about a break in the Algarve. Designed by Martin Hawtree and dating from 1990 the course is 4548m. and par 66.
