The two nines that make up the course have markedly different character. Whilst the first is layed out amongst the high pine trees the second is built on lower land and utilises the water table to create interesting artificial lake. The 17th has an island green which understandably merits some care on approach.
The course occupies land again adjoining the estuary of the Ria Formosa and is often visited by sea birds who make their homes in the sanctuary of the national park. Opened in 1992 the course was by Ronald Fream and offers 6057m. at par 71.
